NEC SL1000

System Description
The NEC SL1000 is a VOIP/hybrid-key telephone system and distributed by NEC. It is made by
NEC which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electronic components and the world’s
third most patent producer. NEC is one of the world’s largest telecommunication suppliers.
NEC has a dominant position in many international markets especially America and the Far East.
The SL1000 is aimed at small offices, home offices and domestic use. The popularity of the SL1000
is due to its simplicity and competitive pricing. It has advanced features normally associated with
enterprise level systems; including Auto Attendant, Mobile Extensions and various other features.
Due to the recession,companies have endeavoured to invest in products which are cost effective.
The NEC SL1000 PABX SWITCHBOARD uses less power consumption than most legacy systems.
It consumes approximately 25% less power than previous models and reduces the total cost of
ownership by minimizing the office electricity expense.
In line with global trend towards VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol),
NEC SL1000 PABX SWITCHBOARD is IP-enabled, and provides 24-Key IP terminal, having the
same usage as digital key telephone in the IP environment, with its IP benefits.

The ports are fully hybridwhich means that you can connect either a console or a normal
phone to it. It has built in music on hold and a port for external music. The switchboard
shows busy lines and has BLI/one touch transfer keys for the extensions. The power supply
has a built in battery circuit.

Maximum expansion of system: The system can be expanded to take up to 48lines and 128
extensions by adding cabinets and cards.
